The Victorian All-Star Drumline is a new initiative by D² designed to give drum set and percussion students from Victorian High Schools the opportunity to take their playing to the next level. The group is a new performance ensemble that will deliver world class, dedicated drumline education in a high performance environment. The Drumline will challenge these young performers in a fun, encouraging environment designed to help each player maximise their potential. 

D² have been at the forefront of Marching Percussion education in Australia for over a decade. The Victorian All-Star Drumline is our most exciting education project. We are bringing together some of the world’s best Marching Percussion educators including Ralph Nader (USA), Bill Bachman (USA), and Chelsea Levine (USA) in addition to our local education team.

Auditions

Auditions are now open for High School students who wish to take part in the Victorian All-Star Drumline.

All students who register for an audition will take part in 2 days of hands on educational workshops with our team. This is an amazing opportunity to get a taste of what it is like to play in a drumline, learn with our staff, and share your talents.

Students must be currently enrolled in a Victorian school to be eligible.

Ongoing Commitment

For those who are successful in their audition, there will be a ZOOM Information Evening following auditions on Thursday 16th March at 6:30pm.

Rehearsals will take place on the Second Sunday of each month, from 9:30-4:30pm beginning March 12th. It is expected that members of the group will be available for all rehearsals, except in school holidays.

Additional performance dates will be added throughout the year. Additional Rehearsals may be required for performances.
