D²Drumline Auditions Are Now Open!
Are you ready to bring the energy, skill, and passion to one of Australia’s most dynamic percussion ensembles? D² is opening auditions for our 2026/27 season, and we’re looking for talented and driven performers to join our team.
Whether you’re an experienced drumline musician or a confident percussionist ready to learn something new, this is your chance to be part of an incredible, professionally run group that performs at a variety of the biggest live events around the country.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking hard-working, adaptable performers who thrive in both high-precision and creative, interactive musical settings. If you’re passionate about performing, love a challenge, and bring a professional attitude to everything you do, we want to hear from you.
Open positions include:
- Snare Drum (Traditional Grip)
- Bass Drum
- Tenors (Quads)
- Cymbals
- Showstyle Tenor (“Flub”)
Performers are paid for all performances, and all consumables — including sticks, heads, and performance shirts — are provided.
You don’t need prior drumline experience to audition; what matters most is your ability to learn quickly, read confidently, perform with presence, and adapt on the fly.
Reading is a big part of what we do, however sight reading is not essential. In most situations, you will have time to practice any new music in your own time before rehearsals and performances.
Above all, attitude and professionalism always trump raw skill.
