National Drumline Camp Scholarships, 2024

We’re excited to announce scholarship opportunities for the 2024 National Drumline Camp!

D² strongly believes in helping make music education accessible for all and are working to support talented, hard working drummers and percussionists from diverse backgrounds. Our goal is to help enhance skills and provide the opportunity experience the incredible mentorship provided by our world-class instructors.

We understand that financial constraints can be a barrier for many talented individuals and strongly believe that music education should be accessible to all.

About The Camp

The National Drumline Camp is a three-day, non-residential event that brings together some of the world’s best drumline specialists. Participants will learn from top instructors, including the amazing Ralph Nader and Chelsea Levine, who will be joining us from the USA this year.

Scholarships Types

To make the camp accessible to as many participants as possible, we’re offering several scholarships that cover various expenses related to the camp. These include two full (100%) scholarships, which cover the entire cost of camp registration, and five partial (50%) scholarships, which cover a portion of the camp registration fee.

Application Process

To be considered for a scholarship, applicants must demonstrate a strong passion for drumming and percussion and show a commitment to improving their skills and contributing to their local music community. Applications will be required to provide a letter of recommendation from a music instructor, mentor or band director, and demonstrate a desire to develop new skills that can be used to support the growth and development of drumline culture in Australia.

The application process is straightforward and can be completed using the form below.  Applicants will need to upload their letter of recommendation and may elect to provide a short 1-2 minute video as part of their application.

All materials must be submitted by August 30, 2024.

Outcomes

Our selection committee will review all applications and select recipients based on their passion, skill level, and potential for growth.

Applicants will be notified of the outcome of their submission by September 5, 2024.
