In November 2020 we were supposed to celebrate 10 Years of D². Fast forward to October 2022 and we finally got to throw the party our wonderful team deserved at the stunning “Butler Lane” in Richmond.
There are so many people who have played an important role in the history of D². Our founding members generously donated their time to help raise money to purchase our instruments. We have had a number of incredible leaders and helpers and assistants, and we have worked with some of the best marching percussion educators from all over the world.
The Drumline’s success is thanks to every individual who has played their part over the years, big or small. This wonderful event was a chance to show our appreciation and say a heartfelt thank you to each and every one of them.
Throughout the day, we had the obligatory thank you speeches, performances from the Drumline, Ralph Nader and Harry Potocnik, and a whole lot of general funsies.
A big thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate, and here’s to another decade or two of world class drumline education and performance!
