Put simply, Ralph’s and Harvey’s BYOS Signature practice pad by Offworld Percussion is one of the best marching pads we’ve ever come across. It’s small and portable enough to fit in a bag, feels and sounds GREAT, doesn’t bounce around or move when played with marching sticks, and has the unique interchangeable puck system for changing the sound / mounting options as required. The VML provides extra volume and articulation over the standard DarkMatter™ playing surface.

Description

The BYOSphere™ with VML™ combines the popular features of Offworld Percussion’s Outlander™ Large with the advanced modular design of the Aurora Series™, as well as the passion and visual flair of the incomparable BYOS team.

  • Comes with a Vinyl Mylar Laminate color atop the Dark Matter™ surface.
  • 11.5″ diameter to easily fit in any backpack
  • Weighs approx. 2.25 lbs
  • 10.5″ playing surface
  • A “cool gray” version of our patented Rim™ component with a MDF base.

VML™ Playing Surface:

  • The Vinyl-Mylar Laminate product is a combination of two parts – the Mylar base, and the Vinyl top layer. This added VML layer provides greater articulation with a more defined attack that allows the player to hear more detail in their playing. The VML layer is incredibly durable and many players never need to replace their VML layer. That said, replacement VML layers are available for all pads utilising this surface for $15 (in stock in Australia).

PLEASE NOTE: No BYOSphere Pucks are included. We recommend adding a Snare Puck with all BYOSphere Pads.
